Google Cloud Architect – Remote (1-year Contract, C2C)

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Google Cloud Architect to join our team on a remote basis for a 1-year contract. As a key member of our cloud solutions team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions to meet our clients’ needs. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of our clients’ cloud initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) based on client requirements.
Provide technical leadership and expertise in architecting cloud solutions, including infrastructure design, data management, and application deployment.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.
Conduct architectural reviews, performance optimizations, and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and performance of GCP environments.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to cloud computing, particularly within the GCP ecosystem.

Skills Requirements:

Proven experience as a Google Cloud Architect or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing cloud solutions on GCP.
In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Networking.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager for automating cloud deployments.
Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and data encryption techniques on GCP.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Google Cloud certification such as Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent is highly desirable.
