Job Description:
We are currently seeking a talented Data Architect with expertise in big data and data analytics to join our team on a remote basis. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data architectures, including data lakes and analytical solutions, to support our clients’ evolving data needs. Responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable and efficient data architectures to support big data and data analytics initiatives, leveraging technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.
Define data models, schemas, and structures to facilitate data ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis in data lakes and analytical environments.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define data requirements, and design solutions that meet business objectives.
Implement data governance, security, and privacy policies to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data assets across the organization.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for big data and data analytics, and stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the field.

Skills Requirements:

Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a focus on designing and implementing data architectures for big data and data analytics solutions.
Strong understanding of big data technologies and frameworks, such as Hadoop, Spark, HDFS, Hive, and Kafka, and experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques, with experience in designing and optimizing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python/R for data analysis and visualization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in big data technologies, data analytics, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer, Google Professional Data Engineer) are highly desirable.
