Cloud Security Architect

Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to join our team on a remote basis for a 1-year contract. As a Cloud Security Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust security solutions for cloud environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with talented teams, and contribute to the security posture of our clients’ cloud infrastructures.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement comprehensive security architectures for cloud environments, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings.
Conduct security assessments, risk analyses, and threat modeling to identify security vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Configure and manage security controls, encryption mechanisms, access management, and identity and access management (IAM) solutions in cloud environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into cloud architecture designs and deployment processes.

Skills Requirements:

Proven experience as a Cloud Security Architect or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing security solutions for cloud environments.
In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and familiarity with their respective security features and services.
Expertise in cloud security best practices, including network security, data encryption, identity and access management (IAM), security monitoring, and incident response.
Experience with security compliance frameworks such as NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR, and the ability to assess and ensure compliance within cloud environments.
Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or cloud platform-specific certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty) are highly desirable.
